The Mac App Store edition processes imported video, audio, images, captions and projects on your Mac. It includes no analytics, advertising, tracking, account system, cloud sync, subscriptions or in-app purchases. This Store build does not include the optional speech recognizer or model downloader and has no network entitlement. Transcripts can be imported and edited locally. Opening a website link uses your default browser, whose privacy practices apply.
Microphone access is used for voice-over recording you initiate. You can revoke it in macOS System Settings. Imported files, exports, recordings and project documents remain in locations you select. Native file/folder panels grant access; saved security-scoped bookmarks retain that permission for future sessions. Preferences, recovery data, caches, bookmarks and diagnostic logs stay in the sandbox container. Logs can contain file paths, project names and technical errors; the app does not automatically send them to the publisher. If you contact support, you choose which information to share; avoid sending private media unnecessarily.
You can remove access by revoking the relevant macOS permissions or selecting files again. Uninstalling the app does not delete your projects or exports. Deleting container data removes settings, saved grants, local diagnostics and recovery data; recover unsaved work first. Apple handles the paid download and may process Store, purchase and diagnostic information under Apple's own privacy policy. The publisher does not receive payment-card details from this app.
The separately distributed developer/CLI builds can enable local automation or optional model downloads; this policy describes the sandboxed Store build. Website hosting and support email handling are described separately on the public Privacy page.
